How Does It Work?

NOBO Norwegian electric radiators are a low-consumption heating system that works via natural air convection.

Installed near the floor, they draw in the cold air that usually settles at the bottom. The air is then heated by the resistance with a large heat exchange surface. This warm air rises, exiting from the top of the product, and distributes evenly throughout the space.

The room is heated uniformly, enhancing comfort and the pleasure of natural, healthy warmth. One distinguishing feature of NOBO Norwegian electric radiators is their ability to operate at low temperatures (maximum 80°C).

WiFi-Integrated Thermostat

How Many Watts Do You Need?

Choosing the right Norwegian electric radiator depends on the surface and volume of the space to be heated, the level of insulation, and the number and quality of windows.

50W per Square Meter

A good rule of thumb is to calculate about 50W per square meter to be heated. For example, a 750W electric radiator is usually sufficient to heat a 15m² room. However, the building’s age and climatic zone should not be overlooked. For new class A energy-efficient buildings, you can consider up to 40W per square meter, while older, poorly insulated buildings may require 80/100W per square meter.

An Electric Radiator Under Each Window

Installing an oversized radiator is generally better than an undersized one. In cases where a room's size or volume is between two models, we recommend choosing the more powerful model. This choice does not usually result in higher electricity consumption but increases the radiator’s efficiency, enabling it to heat the room more effectively and quickly. In particularly large rooms, installing multiple lower-power units instead of one very powerful unit can improve heat distribution.

The ideal installation point for each radiator is under a window, as this is where cold air tends to accumulate the most.

Practical Tips

Radiators should be installed about 10–20 cm above the floor. Cold air, being denser than warm air, tends to settle at the bottom.
